Hazelwood School District is a diverse school district located in suburban St. Louis, Missouri and is the second largest district in St. Louis County. The school district has 32 buildings, including seven thematic schools: Jamestown Elementary Spanish, Gifted/GALACTIC Center, East Middle Accelerated Program and Early Graduation, Central High Real World Learning and Innovative High School, Southeast Middle Career and Technical Education, Twillman Elementary Montessori, and the Hazelwood Opportunity Center.
The District also offers unique and innovative programming such as a robust summer enrichment program, robotics, drone certification, esports, a virtual elementary program, pre-K programs in all elementary schools, real world experiences, and more.
All three high schools have turf fields with digital marquees and Olympic sized swimming pools. The Hazelwood School District is recognized for its award-winning plays and theater productions.

The Hazelwood School District joined with thirty-six other school districts across the state of Missouri to design a better way for each student to engage in meaningful learning, demonstrate individual growth, and prepare for future success. The Missouri Success-Ready Students Network (SRSN) is leading a statewide effort to support a long-term transition to competency-based learning in public schools, including the design and implementation of new state assessment and accreditation systems.
The Success-Ready Students Network, in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Education, will engage stakeholders in:
Supporting, redesigning, and building reimagined assessment and accreditation systems;
Convening Innovation Zones where public school educators, partners and stakeholders can engage in high-quality professional learning
Engaging the business community to support business-to-education partnerships that create real-world learning opportunities for students; and
Establishing a Steering Committee to develop and recommend policy changes based on statewide study and research
