Wayground has the NCSCOS for English, Math, and Sciences
Wayground lessons are a lot like Nearpod, including uploading Google Slides and PPT lessons and adding checkpoint questions
You can create a variety of types of lessons, assessments, and interactives fromm scratch
Assessments = Quizzizz/Kahoot
Presentation = Nearpod
Video = Edpuzzle
Passage = NEW!!!, reading comprehension OR key concept identification
Flashcards = Quizlet
Text on the left - or a PDF or image or any stimulus material for interpretation
Questions on the right. students are allowed to move through questions in their own order
Create your own questions or let AI create them.
Here we have an audiobook of a short story for students to listen to as they follow along with the text, then answer questions as the story progresses. Students can adjust the speed of the video to match their abilities, or they can let it play silently in the background at a higher speed and read for themselves and then answer the questions.
Wider variety of questions than Edpuzzle.
You can assign specific accomodations to each individual student (or import them from their past teachers even), so they are always there for them on assignments. Just select them when you make the assignment.
This is also very helpful for Multiligual Learners
No, it's not perfect and it takes trial and error to learn how to word it for different types of question, but it's great!
You provide the rubric or let the AI develop one for you from the question.
BE CAREFUL - THE AI IS A REALLY STRICT GRADER!
For example - I had to limit the rubric to say that students only had to provide 3 examples, or the AI would expect all or all but one of the textual pieces I pulled out.
BUT THE BEST PART? You can check to see what will and won't get credit so you know if you have worded the grading part correctly
