Hypotheses vs. Theories

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Watch the video and create a thinking map describing the characteristics of theories.

2. Then, create a map describing characteristics of hypotheses. You may watch the video more than once if needed.

3. Next, share your map with a neighbor. If they have adjectives on their maps that yours is missing, add them.

4. Finally, you will do a comparing and contrasting map looking at similarities and differences of theories and hypotheses.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. In the lab, we will check our knowledge of lab equipment to make sure we are talking about the same piece of equipment at any point in time.

2. If you have extra time before we go to the lab, you may search google images to familiarize yourself with any items you are not sure of.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Watch the video about formulating a hypothesis.

2. Then, look at the materials available (or that you'd like me to make available to you) and write a testable hypothesis.

3. You will be completing a small investigation testing your hypothesis.
