Hayfield School Mental Health Awareness Week 2023:

Let's  Connect

This year the theme for Children's Mental Health Awareness week is 'Let's Connect.'  You can watch a short video below to find out more.  If you look at the Teacher Resources you can see some of the things the children might be doing in school during the week. These pages have been split for ages 4-7 and 7-11  You could also try some of these activities at home if you wanted to. Finally there is a page on the website for Parents and Carers that links to the Action For Happiness movement.

Let's Connect

Friendship and developing relationships is an important part of the ethos at Hayfield School and it something that the children work on all the time.  During this week though we will be paying special attention to 'how we connect'.  There will be an whole school assembly on Wednesday 8th February by class Olive that will remind the children of how we can look after our healthy minds; and classes will be doing different things around the theme throughout the week, depending on the children's age.

On Friday the 10th February the children will all have an exciting session to develop team building, resilience and  connecting  together with Commando Jo.  You can find out more about Commando Jo by visiting the website here
