1A Identification Process & Timeline

Who is Eligible for 1A?

Beginning in Grade 5, all students will be reviewed for eligibility for the 1A Program. 

Once a student is accepted into the 1A program they will remain in 1A unless  the expectations of the program are not maintained. 

Students not in 1A are reviewed on an annual basis for eligbility into the 1A programs. We recognize that not all students mature and progress at the same rate. As a result, each year, students who are not currently enrolled in 1A programs will be re-evaluated for consideration to join the program.  For example, if a student is in 1A STEM, in 6th grade, they will automatically be re-evaluated for 1A Humanities (and vice versa).
