This is the meaning of my name :)
I honestly signed up for this class because it looked fun when I toured the Hawken campus. I dont have a specific goal of what I want to make, but I want to impress people with my creations. I would also like to create something functional and useful. I have very little experience with fabrication, that's why I wanted to try something new this year. I've only done a mediocre amount of woodwork at my old school, so I'm no expert. I couldn't name a favorite designer of mine, but my cousin, Tristen designed a building at the Hawken campus, so I'll say him.
These are early sketches from the first and second week of School. These drawings include a floor plan of the Fab Lab, a Bird's eye view of the school campus. I think I could've done better on my cover, but it's alright.
In class, we were assigned to draw 16 circles and fill each of them with various doodles. After that, we were told to pick one circle that stood out and draw it bigger and better. On the right, you will see the drawing I chose to enhance.
In class, we were assigned to make 16 variations of the same letter. Once completing that, we were again told to pick one that stands out the most. The letter I chose was X and the picture I enhanced is on the right. It's supposed to represent a butterfly in the shape of an X.
