The Hawk House Experience
Hawk House has been serving Illinois Tech students since Fall 2021. With amazing effort and diligent planning, Hawk House was created by our amazing team. Despite unprecedented obstacles faced in the past couple of years, we were able to provide a resource for housing our commuter population. Our team saw an outpour of support from our sponsors and fellow commuter students. We are very grateful because without them, this would not be possible.
Mission Statement
Hawk House’s mission is to help: rest, engage, and serve IIT’s commuter students through our on-campus dorm hotel.Vision Statement
Our vision is to make IIT a “home away from home” for all students by cultivating a unified community.Our Three Pillars
These pillars are what we hold ourselves accountable to in order to fulfill our mission. Our pillars are whatmake the ‘Hawk House’ stand.Rest: Promote overall wellness with a safe, clean space for students to do overnight stays.Engage: Operate as an engagement platform that will allow commuters to be immersed in campus life and culture.
Serve: Learn from and get involved with our commuter student population.
