Frequently Asked Questions

1. Team Fee - Elem: $75, Int: $175, JV: $175, Varsity $200 is required before playing. 

2. Sports Physical - Current within the last calendar year (Int, JV, Vars only)

3. Consent, Release, Treatment Form - Must be signed and submitted before competition in any sport

4. CSAL Waiver (Elem. sports only)

5. Athletic Training Services Agreement (Shriners Hospital)

6. Acceptable Grades - No more than 2 D's or 1 F (Int, JV, Vars only)

1. To participate in athletics, students must not have multiple D’s or one F on their progress report.

2. Eligibility will be checked each Monday. Turning in late work on Monday to make a change for the week is not an option. However, each situation will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

3. If a student is found to be below the academic eligibility requirement, they will be considered “Yellow Flagged” for one week. If the student athlete fails to bring their grade up after the “Yellow Flag” phase, they will be “Red Flagged.” At each phase a notice will be sent to both the parent and the student.

a. Yellow Flag – This is a warning that the student is below the academic eligibility standard. The student athlete will still be eligible to participate in practices and games. (1 week period)

b. Red Flag – The student athlete will not be eligible to participate in practices or games. The student athlete will have this week to meet the academic eligibility requirements. If the student fails to meet the requirements by the following Monday, they will remain in the Red Flag phase. (1 week period)

In-person: You can pay via cash, check or credit card in the HMA front office.

Online: Visit https://www.hawaiianmissionacademy.org/paymentsdonations and select "Athletics Fees." Ensure to write down the team 

(Ex: Boys Varsity Volleyball Fee) and the player's name the fee is for (Jimmy Baroro).

Team fees cover the costs to run the program: ILH league fees, officiating fees, transportation costs, staffing costs, and equipment and facility upkeep. A team uniform will be provided for the duration of the season, but personal items such as shoes, kneepads, etc must be provided by the player.

Elementary games are able to be viewed at no cost. For intermediate and varsity games, visit https://gofan.co/app/school/HI17569. All tickets must be purchased online, as no cash is able to be taken at the door.
