I grew up in a multicultural household- my mother being Native American and Mexican, my father being Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Polynesian. I was a part of so my cultures, but wasn't able to fully participate. Growing up, I learned Spanish so I can be connected with my Hispanic side, and now I am currently learning Japanese so I can connect with another part of myself.

༄
I've learned to channel my own experience and individuality into my art, communicating my thoughts and feelings about myself and the world around me.
Here are some of my most recent art pieces. I often will choose a subject based on the memories attached to the picture:
京都 Jellyfish Series 2025, acrylic paint on canvas
Ongoing series inspired by the various jellyfish species I saw during my first trip to Kyoto
Lucky Rabbit 2024, multimedia
For the Chinese zodiac Year of the Rabbit, I wanted to reuse piece of scrap paper and packing to inspire others to recycle
Multi-cultural piece inspired from Chinese folklore and Japanese art, style based off of Japanese ceramist Nanzan's Japanese tea bowls
Mini gallery, 2022-2023, digital art
During classes, I would often draw a mini portrait to keep me focused. When I draw or sketch, I am able to remember what was being said during the process
Drawing style inspired by Claude Monet's impressionism- zoomed in it looks muddied, but zoomed out it's a cohesive picture
