Access the Application Form:

Selecting Your VIP Level:
Choose the appropriate VIP level you are applying for
ENGR 196 (Freshman)
ENGR 296 (Sophomore)
ENGR 396 (Junior)
Senior Design Project EE 496 (Senior)
or specify if it's another level.
Choose Our VIP Team:
Select the VIP team “UH Energy and Sustainability” from the provided list.
Comments:
Write any additional information or comments that you feel are relevant. For example, you can mention your previous experience with the VIP project if applicable or if you have any concerns.
List Relevant Coursework:
List any courses you have taken that may be relevant to the VIP team
(e.g., EE 160, EE 270, EE 211, EE 213,).
Submit the Form:
After filling out all the required fields, submit the form. Your email will be recorded when you submit the form. Once your application is submitted, wait for the team advisor to contact you in a few days.
Select "Add Personal Choice" when registering for classes
On the left menu there should be a text box where you can enter the CRNs above
Choosing the Right Amount of Credits
When registering, you will have the option to choose how many credits you want to take for the course. The maximum you can take for each x96 course is 3 credits
Credit Requirements for the ECE Curriculum
ENGR 196 and ENGR 296: 1 credit
ENGR 396: 2 credits
ECE 496: 3 credits
