The University of Hawaiʻi System Common Scholarship Application for the 2025-2026 academic year is now available online! This application allows students to apply for multiple scholarships at once, with a wide range of opportunities included. For details, tips, FAQs, and application instructions, visit the UH System Common Scholarship Application Requirements page. Be sure to submit your application by the deadline of March 3, 2025, at 4 p.m. (HST) to be considered for both system and campus scholarships.
The Alu Like Hana Lima Scholarship Program (HLSP) offers financial assistance to students enrolled in vocational or technical education programs, like at Hawai'i Community College, that lead to occupations providing a 'living wage.' This need-based scholarship supports tuition, fees, books, and required tools or uniforms for vocational studies. Students in Liberal Arts or those taking only prerequisite courses are encouraged to declare a major to qualify for additional services.

Hawaiʻi Community Foundation (HCF) distributes millions in scholarships each year, making it the third-largest private provider of post-secondary scholarships in the state. These scholarships support students pursuing degrees at colleges and universities, as well as those in career and technical education programs at community colleges. In 2021, the average award was $6,200 per student.

Applications are now open! Apply once to be considered for multiple scholarships, including the Nā Ho‘okama a Pauahi and Ho‘okawowo scholarships. Kamehameha Schools (KS) college scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate financial need and are committed to contributing to the lāhui.
The application deadline is January 15, 2025.
The Pauahi Foundation administers scholarships funded by private donors, supporting college-level studies, as well as trade and vocational courses. Awards may be based on merit, financial need, or specific geographic regions.
Scholarships are open to the general public, including students who are not graduates of Kamehameha Schools. However, preference is given to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry, as permitted by law.

Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) offers scholarships to Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander students. Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students, with a special focus on those who:
Live at or below the poverty level or are of low socioeconomic status
Are the first in their families to attend college
Represent the diversity of the APIA community (geographically and ethnically), especially those from underrepresented groups on college campuses
Demonstrate a commitment to community service, leadership, and strong academic achievement
The application opened around November 15. and closes on January 15.
Aloha Hawaiʻi Onipaʻa is offering partial scholarships to Native Hawaiian students pursuing degrees in environmental studies, natural resource management, earth sciences, agriculture, or astronomy. These scholarships are for students committed to working toward a sustainable future for Hawaiʻi families and communities.

Native Hawaiian Scholarship 2025-2026 Academic Year.
The purpose of the Nā Hokua Scholarship is to provide one-on-one coaching, career preparation, and financial support for full-time or part-time Native Hawaiian undergraduate students pursuing a certificate or degree at a University of Hawaiʻi (UH) System Community College (CC) or Education Center (EC).
Students must be of Hawaiian ancestry. Students from all islands are highly encouraged to apply.

The Hawaiʻi Rise Foundation, in partnership with community sponsors, is now accepting applications for its 2025 Scholarship program, offering over $50,000 in scholarships to Big Island students. What began with a $1,000 donation from Keaukaha General Store in 2017 has grown into a diverse array of scholarships supporting graduating seniors and Hawaiʻi Island residents.
Students will respond to essay questions exploring personal growth, community issues, and ways to give back. Some scholarships prioritize specific majors like Nursing, Political Science, or Hawaiian Studies. Additionally, funds are available for small businesses, medical expenses, and children with special needs. Applications are open until April 30, 2025, with winners notified in late May and celebrated at a formal ceremony.

PIPES houses four transformative pathway programs: Naʻau (Ancestral Pathway Program), ʻĀina (Ecological Pathway Program), Kaiāulu (Community Pathway Program), and Kaʻao (Research Pathway Program) that focus on cultivating the longitudinal capacity of the next generation of aloha ʻāina leaders in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific through internships and mentorships that impact academic and career pathways, workforce development, and thriving communities.

Kupu Hawai'i Youth Conservation Corps: Summer Program (HYCC) is a summer opportunity for students (17 years or older) on O'ahu and Maui who are passionate about conservation. Members will be placed at a Host Site that aligns with their interests, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to Hawaii's long-term environmental sustainability. Participants will receive hourly compensation and an AmeriCorps education award upon completing their service.
Kupu Hawai'i's Conservation Leadership Development Program creates rigorous, entry-level opportunities for early professionals (17 years or older) who want to commit to a career in conservation. Depending on the term selected, participants are placed at an environmental organization for 6 months up to 1 year. They assist with projects that equip them with skills and leadership opportunities to move ahead in their career.
