Each summer, high school students from the Hawaiian Islands, CNMI, Guam, and American Samoa visit various transportation projects and programs, local businesses, and engage in classroom STEM enrichment activities. Come join us and see what each PAC-STEP cohort has been up to.
2023
Day 1: Welcome breakfast and campus GPS Scavenger Hunt.
Day 2: GPS , GIS, and Surveying STEM enrichment activity.
Day 3: Biking in the City and Geometric Roadway Design STEM enrichment activity.
Day 4: Intersection tour and Elemental Excelerator Office tour.
Day 5: Community Planning STEM Lesson and Magic Island firework show.
Day 6: KCC farmers market, Diamond Head Hike and dinner at Bucca di Beppo.
Day 7: Circle Island Adventure.
Day 8: H3 Tunnel and Honolulu Airport Tour.
Day 9: Austin, Tsutsumi & Associations and The Skyline Tour. ASCE bridge activity.
Day 10: Kalihi Transit Center and Honolulu Joint Traffic Management Center tour.
Day 11: Closing ceremony, and Dinner at Dave & Busters.
