Welcome to NREM GSO!

About

The Natural Resources and Environmental Management (NREM) Graduate Student Organization (GSO) serves graduate students within our department by providing opportunities to connect with NREM faculty, local non-profits, community groups and schools, professionals in our industry, and other graduate students. We also:

Provide input on policies and decisions affecting NREM graduate students,
Act as an advisory body to the administration and faculty of the NREM Department, and
Initiate and maintain co-curricular programs that are relevant to NREM graduate students.

Activities

Pau Hana (Happy Hour)

Join other NREM graduate students, faculty, and staff on the last Wednesday of each month for our social hour. Our recent virtual pau hanas have featured group games and crafty activities! We look forward to meeting in the Sherman courtyard for future pau hanas, once it's safe to do so.

Our quarterly newsletter highlights the students, staff, and faculty within NREM and their work, upcoming events, and helpful resources.

Calendar

Check our calendar for upcoming events including seminars, defenses, and social activities.

Outings & Community Service

We coordinate fun group hikes, beach clean-ups, & native plant restoration efforts. We invite suggestions for other activities!
