Keeping Track of New Media Arts Students and Graduates Awards Won

In 2026, NMA students won 5/8 PELE awards (2 Gold, 2 Silver, 1 Bronze). We also had five NMA graduates win 9/79 awards in the Professional division: Karen Brizendine - MVNP (2), Haku Chamberlin-Bee - MVNP (2), Arlyn Ramos - Sae Design (3), Angelica Palilio - Design Asylum (1), and Jason Karioka - Iolani School (1).
In 2025, NMA students won 13/16 PELE awards (7 Gold, 2 Silver, 4 Bronze), including the “Best in Show” judges’ awards (for the 2nd year in a row for a total of 8 times we’ve won this top prize over the years). One student, Hanna Shibata, won two 2025 IDA International Awards (1 Gold, 1 Bronze), and one 2025 AAF National American Advertising "ADDY" Award "ADDY" (Silver).
In 2024, NMA students/grads won PELE 14/18 awards (7 Gold, 5 Silver, 2 Bronze), including both the “Best in Show” and “Special Judges” awards.
In 2023, NMA students/grads won PELE 19/24 awards (4 Gold, 4 Silver, 11 Bronze), including a Judge’s award and 2 out of 3 scholarship awards.
In 2022, NMA students/grads won 22/23 PELE awards including the “Best in Show” award.
In 2021, NMA students/grads won PELE 21/26 awards and won all 4 of the Judges Recognition Awards, including the “Best in Show” award.
In 2020, NMA students took 8/11 PELE awards, including the "Best in Show" Award.
