The purpose of this segment is for you to learn about and explore the concept of Personal Learning Networks and how this concept can be used to enhance the learning experiences you design as well as your professional development. Each day we will focus on one or more of five specific functions -- Syndication, Production, Aggregation, Collaboration, and Extension -- that can inform the choice of tools.
In this segment, we will showcase some tools from the PLN Tool Browser that support different tool functions and applications. The demos will help you get ideas about how technology can be leveraged to enhance various aspects of the PBLL experiences (such as communication, collaboration, presentation, etc.) that you will be creating for your students.
This segment is intended as a brief, hands-on experience to apply or further explore the technology concepts presented in the previous segments. Work in pairs, small groups, and creativity are encouraged!
The purpose of this segment is to equip you with basic skills that will enable you to construct a Google Site for hosting your own project. When completed, the site will be used by your students to guide them through their PBLL experience. If you feel more comfortable using other platforms (such as Weebly or Wix) to host your project, you will have an option to use them instead.
