ExLENT Internships

The NSF ExLENT Internship is an 10-week long program where students will work one-on-one with an Industry Partner who specializes in emerging technologies within STEM fields. Students will spend five (5) hours per week with your co-hort at the KapCC STEM Center completing weekly workshops. This internship will sharpen critical thinking and analytical skills while providing hands-on experience to boost job prospects, advance career, and strengthen academic performance. 

Preference for internships are given to those who've attended our Workshops and/or Site Visits.

1. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

2. Kapi'olani Community College*

3. Must be able to commit 40 hours/week, including:

• Mandatory 2 hour orientation

• Weekly cohort meetings

• Research and poster creation

• 2-3 Unrulr posts per week

• Completion of all Pre, Mid, and Post surveys

• Presenting and attending Student Undergraduate Research Fair (SURF) at the end of the Fall semester

*Priority will be given to KapCC students.
