ExLENT is an experiential learning program that helps to expose students to opportunities in emerging technologies that will Inspire, Inform, and Immerse students in STEM careers available in Hawaiʻi.
Inspire activities focus on partner organizations through Career Paʻina, exposing students to new and exciting emerging technologies with our local tech-partners.
Inform site-visits with our partner organizations allow students to gain on-site exposure and learn more about the chance to do a summer internship with any of our local partners.
Immerse $5,500 summer internships sharpens critical thinking and analytical skills while providing hands-on experience to boost job prospects, advance career, and strengthen academic performance. To learn more about our internships, check out our Internships page.

The NSF ExLENT Internship is an 10-week long program where students will work one-on-one with an Industry Partner who specializes in emerging technologies within STEM fields. Students will also spend five (5) hours per week with your cohort at the KapCC STEM Center completing weekly workshops. This internship will sharpen critical thinking and analytical skills while providing hands-on experience to boost job prospects, advance career, and strengthen academic performance.
