The group gets together at Gordon's house to celebrate the end of the academic year.
Congratulations to Jonah, Brigid, and Alexis on completion of their senior thesis work!
Jonah is the recipient of the Ambler Award, the ACS Scholastic Achievement Award, and the NSF-GRFP! Congratulations Jonah!
2025
Gordon, Brigid, and Alexis travel to the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source to collect total X-ray scattering data on disordered thermoelectrics grown in the lab.
Gordon and the summer research team takes a short trip to Neighbors Helping Neighbors on the Main Line to perform chemistry demonstrations, including elephant toothpaste and freezing flowers with liquid nitrogen.
Brigid presents her summer research "Crystal Growth of Disordered Materials" at the Tri-Co Materials Science Collaborative colloquium.
Gordon presents Arjun's thesis work titled "A Data-Driven Approach to the Design of Low Thermal Conductivity Materials" at the NIST Artificial Intelligence for Materials Science workshop in Rockville, MD and at the North American Solid-State Chemistry Conference in Ames, IA.
The group celebrates the end of the spring semester with a picnic at the Haverford apartments.

Congratulations to Alexis and Jonah for landing summer internships!
Alexis will be working at the Navy Research Lab in Washington, D.C. through the Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program, and Jonah will be working with Professor Shu Yang at the University of Pennsylvania.
We are also very excited to have Brigid, Tim, and Josh continue their research at Haverford this summer!
