Each term all Departments and Programs designate two courses (or one if more than 50 students are enrolled) for General Education Assessment and Select General Education Rubrics (by December 6 and March 15). Data should be entered by January 5 for fall courses, and June 1 for spring courses (these dates might revised based on the progress of the academic year).
As the courses are designated, the instructor selects one or more rubrics (from the General Education set) to use as the basis of rating student achievement in some examination, laboratory, paper, or other assignment that relates to the declared learning goals of the course.
Each spring, all Departments and Programs with Senior Capstone select rubrics and assess student learning in those projects (typically by April 15). Data should be entered by June 1; subject to revision).
