2023 - 07/17 - IRRIGATION
The HOA board and Goodwin & Co provide this update on the automatic irrigation system’s operational status and information on the current City of Austin water use restrictions.
Proscape Landscape performed an irrigation system inspection on July 11, 12 and 13. The purpose of the inspection was to identify problems in programmed zones and perform corrective work to ensure all zones were in working order.
A number of loose and / or burned out electrical connections were located. Most of the corrective work has been performed; however, a few more things need to be addressed, such as the flooding and overspray at Units 402 and 804 last night. The entire system is operational. The good news is the turf is receiving water. We will continue to monitor the entire system in the next week to ensure all problems have been identified and corrected. If you notice a leak, please let us know.
The City of Austin is in Stage 1 Drought Water Use Restrictions. Current programmed watering days and run times for Haven are:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays: Drip Lines (25 minutes) and Tree Bubblers (5 minutes); 12:00 am to 7:30 am
Fridays: Rotor Heads (20 minutes) and Spray Heads (10 minutes); 12:00 am - 7:30 am
The above run times are increased run times to put more water on stress turf as fast as possible. As turf monitoring continues and conditions improve, run times could be reduced in 2 min - 3 min increments until we get back to normal run times. Normal run times for rotor and spray heads and drip lines are approximately 60% of increased run times.
Haven owners are allowed to provide the following supplemental watering:
1. a hose-end sprinkler one day of the week Friday, 12:00 am to 10:00 am and / or 7:00 pm to 12:00 pm.
2. a hand-held hose or a refillable container any time on any day of the week. Early mornings, evenings and nights are best to reduce moisture loss through evaporation.
3. watering trees with a Treegator or soaker hose any time on any day of the week. Early mornings, evenings and nights are best to reduce moisture loss through evaporation.

Hello Neighbors,
This has been long overdue but I wanted to send out what has been happening since your new board was elected.
We have been hard at work. Much of the work is behind the scenes and not visible to the community but we hope in the near future you will begin to see some tangible improvements.

New outdoor communication boards. We are placing one by the trash bin and one in the detention pond “aka dog park” area.
DetentionPond - We have requested information regarding what can be done in this area. Nothing permanent can be installed but we are looking to add upgraded picnic tables.
A new entrance gate system is coming.We apologize for the delay. Goodwin has made this a top priority.
Committees have been reestablished. We decided that the success of the HOA board will be stronger if we have more people involved. We have 4 committees. If you are interested in getting involved please reach out to one of us.

The Board has chosen to stay with Goodwin but requested a new CAM - Community Association Manager.
What is a CAM? The community association manager is the face, and an employee, of the HOA management company. They work closely with the board to perform many vital functions and resolve any complaints or issues that come up along the way.
Please welcome Alex Geary!
Alex started with us earlier this month and has jumped right in on getting these done.
And finally Let’s get social. Look for community events put together by our social committee. Next event is scheduled for 7/2.
