Preventing the Weaponization of Outer Space and Ensuring Compliance with International Treaties
Hi, everyone! I'm Clara, and I'm so excited to be chairing COPUOS this October. I'm originally from Romania, and grew up there before moving to Germany, and later Switzerland. I've attended seven MUN conferences, and this conference will be my second time chairing. MUN has been an amazing outlet for me to express my passion for debate and geopolitics, and I hope this debate will bring that out in you as well. Outside of school and MUN, I'm usually found reading or rewatching F1 race highlights, but right now you can find me counting down the days to HLMUN 2026!
You can contact Clara at clara-maria.rotaru@haut-lac.ch if you have any questions.
Greetings, delegates! My name is Lina Datain, I am French and Morrocan and have been living in Switzerland for almost 12 years now. Ever since I was young, I’ve dreamt about becoming a journalist & travelling across the world and reporting political truths - MUN has allowed me to practice my public speaking and learn facts about the world, which I have really enjoyed. I have been to many conferences - from Aiglon to Brillamont to our own Haut-Lac Conferences, in which I have won an award. For this conference, I hope to be a fair and helpful Deputy Chair.

Hi there! My name is Arthur, and I am originally from Poland and Texas. I am a Senior at Leysin American School. I have previously chaired at Le Rosey, LASMUN, and Aiglon MUN. Chairing has always been an amazing experience in MUN, as it lets me ensure debates are conducted respectfully and productively. This is my third Haut Lac conference, and it’s an honor to be a Head Chair for UNODC. I can’t wait for this year’s HLMUN - if you would like any help, let me know!

Hi! My name is Tom, and I am currently an IB1 / Year 12 student at Haut-Lac School. Originally from the Netherlands, I've grown up here, in Switzerland, over the course of the last 11 years. Although you'd consider me an MUN newcomer, public speaking has been a strong suit of mine for many years. Partner that with an interest in global politics and activism, and you've got yourself a chair, and I am beyond excited to see you all at work!
