7P2-CARDBOARD CHALLENGE!

show and tell of my project:

• Using cardboard , glue, and some paper, I created a Chromebook because i wanted to use the keys to fidget with and play pretend with it. I was able to do this by the help of my partner and me.I also was able to do this by double tasking.for example my friend glued the keys when i made them.

• During this process, I learned that carboard can be hard to shape and cut and sometimes it fails but you have to keep trying. For example the key kept popping off and sometimes the paper wouldn't fold Also sometimes the plate the keys were standing on would fall down but we mixed it with tape.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because i had to search up how to build the keys and what materials we had to use. I also had to search up a different tutorial so we could find a different way to fold the paper into keys.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was folding the paper and making sure the keys stayed on. I was able to do it by folding it a different way and for the keys we added more glue so it would last longer. I also overcame this by gluing the edge of the paper so it would stop falling apart.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the key sizes. The reason why I would change it is because there is still a lot of room to fill and i feel if i were to make the keys bigger it would of took up some more of that room. I also would change the box we picked because it keeps closing on my hands. Id also change the way we folded the paper because at sometimes it can be wonkey.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. I know this because i was able to Engineeriong the old cardfboard into something new.

• My project connects to careers in  Recycleing because i was able to recyle the carddboard and use it for sometyhing better then trash. Also i mreperposed the foam inside the box aswell with the tape on one of boxes.This is why i picked Recyleing as my job in real life that con nects with reuseing the cardboard.
