I'm working on a team with Weston And Joshua.
we will need cardboard, duct tape, scissors, hot glue guns and sticks, and tin foil.
We plan to make a dinosaur because this will give our project a lead in creativity.
Our project will be unique because it will be the first.
Daily Log
Day 1: We did planning questions and 10 good ideas. We also picked team members and watched Caine's arcade. Our team members are me, Josh, And Weston.
Day 2: We started planning and making our Rat, my job is to work on the legs.
Day 3: We continued the now dinosaur after writing a letter to our team members, the mouth is tinfoil, and I made some legs.
Day 4: We decided its a dragon and gave it some wings, Weston burned his hand, next week we plan to make it look better. there is also now a better headstand.
Day 5: Weston was gone for half of the hour. The finishing touches will be done tomorrow.
Day 6: Surprisingly we got an extra day, we fished the final touches and started the video. It will be done tomorrow.
Day 7: Last day, we are making the video and finishing the website. This project was great.
Using cardboard, duct tape, and tinfoil, I created a tin foil dragon with a cardboard tail that is held together with duct tape because it was an original idea we came up with after our first idea failed.
During this process, I learned to be careful with materials and sharp objects and to pay attention to my surroundings.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designing because by recycled materials to make an interesting and unique design.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making legs. I was able to do it by cutting out cardboard and using the template of the previous leg design.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change is the tail. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't like the way it looked.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Mechanical Drafting (Engineering Design) CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering and Model Engineering.
