I'm going to use a piece of wood, keychain ring and the laser cutter
What is your plan to create in this project?
I'm only going to use Tinker CAD for this project and its for designing
What unique qualities will your project have?
It can be a keychain or put on a backpack, and it will be my first time making something with the laser cutter.
Daily log
Day 1 - I start of Tinkercad
Day 2 - Finish the design so I can cut it out tomorrow
Day 3 - Cut out the design and make it a keychain
Using Tinkercad I make a custom keychain.
During this process, I figure out how to cut something on a laser cutter and by learning that I cut out a keychain
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I'm designing something then cutting it out with the laser cutter.
A challenge I overcame on this project was thinking of something to cut out because I had no ideas starting this but I knew I wanted to use the laser cutter meaning I had to come up with something to make.
Given a chance to do this again I would make something more intricate and more difficult because it was a simple design,
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer programming program because I had to design something that has never been made.
