Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am on my own for this one
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need 3d printer filament
What is your plan to create in this project?
I will use Tinkercad
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will help me with organizing
Day 1 - I started thinking about ideas and made my list of things I can make.
Day 2 - I stared working on tinkercad do make my design which will be a allen key holder.
Day 3 - I changed my design to a Dremel bit holder
Day 4 - I changed it to a square with 1/8 inch holes to hold the Dremel bits.
Day 5 - I got it printed out but the holes needed to be cleaned out before putting the bits in
Using Tinkercad and the 3d printer, I created a Dremel bit holder because I needed something to help organize my bits.
During this process, I learned how to use a cad program and used it to make something on the 3d printer.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because there are designs for a Dremel bit holder and I can buy one but I learned how to make one instead.
A challenge I overcame on this project was this being my first time I've ever used something like Tinkercad. I was able to do it by watching the videos and figuring out how to do.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size I made it. The reason why I would change it is because it is not big enough to fit many bits so I could like to increase the size to 3 or 4 inches.
