7P9-Stop Motion

What materials will you need for your project?

I will need a chess board, chess peices, and an iPad.

What is your plan to create in this project?

I am planning on making a game(s) of chess.

What unique qualities will your project have?

My video will seem as if the peices are moving by themselves.

Using iMotion, Chess board, and chess pieces, I created a stop motion video of a game of chess. because I just learned how to play chess and I got really interested.
During this process, I learned how to make a stop motion picture, it seems easy, but the movements have to be exact.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I set a goal to make a stop motion video about a game of chess.
A challenge I overcame on this project is that we could not find a way to get 700+ pictures. I was able to overcome it by making more movements whenever we move a piece.
Given a chance to do this again, I would use the automatic picture taker instead of manual. The reason why I would change it is because the camera was really shakey and I think that it would be more stable and go faster.

My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Video editor, Animator, and Videographer.
