7P2 Cardboard Challenge

Using Cardboard, I created a Minecraft Blacksmith because, I believe that it was a design that I could use certain measure mend's to make a perfect square for the design that I wanted to have. 

During this process, I learned how to make a Cardboard design that might be able to survive a car driving over it, if there was more time, work, and Cardboard put in to it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I searched up one of my ideas and took the image and recreated it into my own version.    A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to add a latch that would hold down the roof so you could have the roof shut and walk around with it and nothing would fall out. I was able to do it by taking a look at the online picture, and making a version that was the same design but had different things added onto it .  Given a chance to do this again, I would change the entire build design by making all the sides at once then adding additional pieces on where i thought they were needed. The reason why I would change it is because with everything that i have on the project, it took way too long cutting them out and then gluing them together and after that we didn´t have enough time for painting and the video.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Construction.
