!!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!??!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Using Aluminum foil, I created tin foil boats because I wanted to see how many pennies it could hold.
During this process, I learned how to make structures and have a good ratio of weight and mass to make sure it could hold as much as possible.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I was able to use different strategies and learning new ways to make structure.
A challenge I overcame on this project was folding the aluminum foil. I was able to do it by using more foil and using a hammer.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what we could use. The reason why I would change it is because I think with more materials we could make better looking boats.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Construction because it helps me learn new ways and use current ways to construct ways to build stuff for houses, boats, cars, and more.
