today I did my list of 10 and planning questions
today I spent most of the day searching for a basketball.
today I took a square and spent the day trying to make the backboard from a square to a rectangle.
today I made my rim by taking a oval with a hole and made sure that the basketball would fit in the rim.
Today I added the things one the back of the backboard that make it hang from my door and I made my name on the backboard.
Today I spent the day making my name bigger so that way it would stand out more.
Using tinkercad, I created a mini basketball hoop and ball because I thought it would be fun to make and when i'm bored I can play with it whenever.
During this process, I learned how to use measure and how to 3D print.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovation Designer because I was designing a mini hoop.
A challenge I overcame on this project was tryin g to get the rim in the backboard but not to far. I was able to do it by adding things in between the rim and the backboard so the rim could also move up and down.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my rim so it is more sturdy and try and get it to where the things in the back of the backboard would print. The reason why I would change it is because the things on the back didn't print and the rim is not very sturdy.

My project connects to the Technical Education CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Technical Education because I was using my computer and A 3D printer to learn how one works and I was learning how to use measurements.
