My plan is to put things together and see what it makes

It is a homemade pencil sharpener cover.

using tinkercad I created a pencil sharpener cover, because I was stacking things together and I sort of created that general shape and I got the idea. During this process I used tinkercad and designed a pencil sharpener. Then realizeing that it would be to challenging I changed it to a cover. I would get my own pencil sharpener.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I messed around with tinkercad and used the knowledge that I had and gained knowledge like how to download stuff on tinkercad.

A challenge I overcame on this project was finding a way for the pencil sharpener to get in the cover. I also had to find a way to put a hole in it so that I could put a pencil in it. I had to do many different shapes and sizes to find the right one.

Then I had to figure out what size the hole in the top had to be. this hole should be big enough to fit a pencil and small enough to fit on the design. I also have to find out what size pencil sharpeners are. That was a challange.

Then I decorated. I added a sign with my name on it. I then added a post to the back of my name so that all of it would be connected.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in arcetexture because I was designing things using a 3d printer. I Could print off a thing that you use for finding bones or I could 3d print something that holds houses together.

This is how it turned out

Given the chance to do this again I would change The shape and the size. The reason I would do this is because I was mostly just testing the shapes and sizes. Now that I have done this I could do something so much better. I know that the hole in the top does not have to a circle shape but a line that will go through the design. I also know to make the line wider so that a pencil will fit in it. I know that you can't see the top but the hole in it is not big enough to fit a pencil in it.
