Adafruit circuit playground, circle micro-bit, iPad, and my computer
What is your plan to create in this project?
Games, light shows, and button pads
What unique qualities will your project have?
it will be my idea not a copied idea
started coding and made a new subpage.
I was sick
started working on the light sequent
i worked on my button clicker light show and finished and now I'm working on a Christmas light show.
kept adding different things to my light show
finished my Christmas light show now on light tapper
finished everything with videos and my reflection.

Using Adafruit, an iPad, a computer, and my circle micro bit
I created a Christmas music light show and button board music lights. I chose this project because it stood out to me as a fun and creative way to combine music, lights, and technology. It was a challenging yet exciting project that allowed me to learn new skills and experiment with programming.
During this process, I learned that making the pitches for Christmas songs was harder than I expected. It took a lot of trial and error to get each note just right. I realized that getting the timing and pitch correct is important for the music to sound right.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project connects to the **Empowered Learner** standard because I had to gather all the information on my own without any outside help. I researched, experimented, and learned everything I needed to complete the project by myself.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the right music pitch. It was difficult because I had to make sure each note sounded just right and matched the song. I was able to fix this by using trial and error, trying different pitches until I found the correct ones.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how much time I spent on each project. One of the projects took much longer than I expected, which meant I only had time to finish about two projects. If I planned my time better, I could have worked on more projects and finished them on time.
Hastings High School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program provides students with diverse pathways to explore and develop skills in fields such as Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project aligns specifically with the Computer Programming CTE program, offering opportunities to build technical expertise and innovative solutions. This connection highlights the program’s role in preparing students for future careers in technology and programming.
My project connects to careers as a Software Lead by developing programming skills essential for creating innovative solutions. For example, I programmed micro:bits, demonstrating how coding can be applied to real-world technology. This experience aligns with the responsibilities of a Software Lead, such as designing and overseeing software development projects.
