this is a video of our makey makey in use playing the snake game. we made arrow keys like it was representing the keyboard. We also made sort of a mouse so when we had to press play again we could press that and play again.
This is a picture of our makey makey hooked up to my keyboard. As you can see we have the four arrow keys hooked up. It is kind of messy but you can see all the wires going to the different places so you can press the right thing and it doing what you want.

Using makey makey, I created a keyboard to play snake because we had to wire the makey makey to play-use. we would have to connect the makey makey cords up to to the tinfoil or anything else you would use. But the most important part is having a connecter hook up to tinfoil on you. This is so the game will actually work cause if it is not the game will no sense you pressing the button
During this process, I learned it wasn't as hard as I thought. I thought you would have to decide where you hooked up the cord on the makey makey. But it had it labeled so this made it so easier which would mean it wouldn't make it as long as I thought it would be.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructer because build up our knowledge to be able to connect it so it actually worked. Like if I didn't have my knowledge of technology I wouldn't be able to do this project. And as I was going I was building up my knowledge so I can have a cool makey makey not just the cords hooked up to tinfoil. I actually made a real life thing or represented a real life thing to make it as real and my best that I can do
A challenge I overcame on this project was deciding what to connect the makey makey. I was able to do it by making a keyboard and using tinfoil. I wasn't sure how I would make it I got the concept just needed a project that would take my time and best effort. I feel the keyboard and mouse was that project this was not easy but it wasn't hard. This way I was able to get enough time to make my portfolio and turn it in for a good grade
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the game or site we used this on. The reason why I would change it is because it wasn't very hard to hook up to play the game. I was thinking a game with more controls or a harder game to to play in general. This is because I have already done this so I want to expand this project and show what I can do.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School because I was programming the makey makey cords to play the game so when I press a button they would do what I say. also had to plug it in the Chromebook and do all the connections and stuff that is why it connects to computer programming. My project connects to careers in something to do with circuit connection.
this was our first thing we hooked our makey makey up to. But then we thought this wasn't good enough we needed somethin more advanced. So we created the keyboard.
