Using micro-bit and accessories, I created a morse code sender/translator because I wanted to learn morse code.
During this process, I learned how to turn on a micro-bit,set up a basic radio system and make that radio system send messages to devices.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I am sending a semi known language (to humans) and sending it to a machine.
A challenge I overcame on this project was sending the messages. I was able to do it by taking down the consistent single and getting help.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how many letters i had. The reason why I would change it is because sending a's and b's is not communication.

My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in basic coding and in translation of different languages.
