Reflection

• Using https://microbit.org/, I created fun games because coding is something i enjoy. I also made this because using micro bits there's so much i can do such as, hot potato, race car, snake game, and love meters. During this project i made a  love meter, my name, and a pet simulator.

• During this process, I learned how to download what code i made on the microbit website. I also learned it takes time to actually make the code and understand the variables. Making this project helped me learn to do stuff on my own.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I had to use my brain and go online find my answers. I had to actually go and figure out how to do something.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was finding the right blocks. I was able to do it by following tutorials and memorising what did what. Another challenge was finding out how to get the led symbols. I later figured it out after watching two tutorials found out all i have to do is drag it into the already madde code.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change my pet game. The reason why I would change it is because there's lots of bugs in it that i would like to fix but couldn't. Id also want to change what games i made, a rock paper scissors game that i spent way to much time on.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the  Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. Because the micro bit is a fully functionally and we can program it to do whatever we want.

• My project connects to careers in software engineering because a software engineer designs, builds, and maintains computer systems and applications by applying engineering principles to solve real-world problems. I did all these while programming my microbit. Therefore, my project has helped me do all of theses things which means my project ties to software engineering.
