using a tablet, microphone, and iMovie, I created a video about peoples school life because we want to get to know people and give people a chance to talk about their interests. During this process I learned that people all agree innovation and design is their favorite elective. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I connected with tons of people to see what they're like. A challenge we overcame was the microphones not picking up sound and videos not working. we were able to do the project anyways because we asked for help when we needed it and we tried new things and it ended up working. Given a chance I would change the microphone situation, we only had 1 microphone per person so a lot of the audio is too quiet, choppy, staticky, or too loud because we had to pass the mic around. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the digital multimedia because we were interviewing people. My project also ties to careers in journalism.
