PLANNING QESTIONS
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself
What materials will you need for your project?
Computer and Scratch
What is your plan to create in this project?
I plan to create a Pong Game
What unique qualities will your project have?
My project will have a pong game on display
Using Scratch, I created a Pong Game because I wanted to try something new. I've never used scratch to code. Only to play games. So I thought it would be fun and different. It came with a lot of challenges but I eventually was able to play smoothly.
During this process, I learned How to code using scratch. I don't have much experience coding general. Scratch was a very difficult program to use. At first, I was using basic blocks and nothing to complex. After a day or two, However, I figured out how to use the blocks and started to use the blocks that made my game smoother and better looking.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I had to think and explore to solve some issues I ran into during coding.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Getting all the Sprites coding to line up with each other. I was able to do it by trying to do them all individually and try to time them correctly. I later learned that you can use a block to sync the sprites.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the game I made. The reason why I would change it is because I would like to do something more exciting and fun. The Pong game was fun to make and code. However, the game itself is boring and isn't something you can sit there and play
