Using Scratch, I created a Gaming story, Maze game, Escape game, Platform game and Racing game because it helped me learn how to code. During this process, I learned that coding is not that easy. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I used coding blocks to make a bunch of games as well as a game story. A challenge I overcame on this project was making the game from starting with nothing. I was able to do it by coding with the coding blocks i was given and the sound creating code blocks as well. Given a chance to do this again, I would change The Maze or The Escape room. The reason why I would change it is because they were both low quallity but could have been better quallity. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Culinary Arts, Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Innovative Designer, Knowledge Constructor.
