Class Standards and Design Thinking
Standards:
In this class, we will be using the Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies for Students (MITECS) also known as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards. For each standard, you will write a 3 to 5-sentence paragraph. Please use this link to create your paragraphs.
For you to be a empowered learner you would need to be a self teacher. A creative and critical thinker. You would need to reflect on learning the learning process.
To be a Digital Citizen you would have to engage in positive, safe, legal, and ethical behavior. You need to demonstrate on understanding of and respect for the rights and obligations. Cultivate and manage the identity and reputation.
To be a knowledge Constructor you have to plan and employ effective research strategies to locate information. Build knowledge by actively exploring real world issues. Curate information from digital resources.
For you to be an innovative designer you have to know and use a deliberate design process. Select and use digital tools to plan and manage a design process. Develop a test and refine prototypes as parts of a cyclical design.
To be a computational thinker you have to include skills as decomposition, and pattern recognition. Formulate problem definitions suited for technology-assisted. Collect data or identify relevant data sets.
Do be a creative communicator you have to choose the appropriate platforms and tools. You have to create original works or responsibly repurpose. Publish or present content that customizes the message.
To be a global collaborator you use digital tools to connect with learners from varieties of backgrounds. Explore local and global issues. Contribute constructively to protect teams.
