Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation that draws from designers' toolkits to integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success. Wicked problems demand teams to think outside the box, take action immediately, and constantly iterate-all hallmarks of design thinking. The design thinking process starts by looking at the needs, dreams and behaviors of people–the end users. The team listens with empathy to understand what people want, not what the organization thinks they want or need. The team then thinks about the solutions to satisfy these needs from the end users point of view.
