7P2-Cardboard Challenge

Using cardboard, toothpicks, and hot glue, I created a square body chevy because it was a fun sounding idea.

During this process, I learned how to make the panels of the truck stand up and be sturdy.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learning because I learned how to set goals and achieve the goals that I set.

A challenge I overcame on this project was the first truck was unsteady. I was able to do it by building a new truck that was sturdier and better builded.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the color. The reason why I would change it is because it did not look good brown.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in engineering because they build model before they build.
