7P2- Cardboard Project

Using cardboard, tinfoil, paint, string, and hot glue, I created a shoe because it was the first thing that came to mind.

During this process, I learned how to build things with cardboard.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered leader because we were engaged in the project and ties to Innovative Designer because we took the things given which was the cardboard and use the tools that were available to me. Which was my foot. We built the shoe by tracing my foot then adding cardboard to the sides.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the shape just right was really hard to do. I was able to do it by folding cardboard to fit the base.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how big it is. The reason why I would change it is because it was really big.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change  measurements of the show. The reason why I would change is to make the shoe a more accurate model. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the constitution trades CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Construction,Building Systems Technician,Carpentry, Drywall and Ceiling Tile Installers,Electrical, HVACR, Masonry, Painting, and Plumbing. My project connects to these jobs because my project was hands-on, required creativity and problem solving.
