Are you working by yourself or in a team?
A team
What materials will you need for your project?
Tinkercad and 3D Printer
What is your plan to create in this project?
Something to hold your iPad
What unique qualities will your project have?
Using a 3D printer
Using a 3D printer, I created a phone stand because it would be useful to have and fun to design. During this process, I learned that designing things on Tinkercad isn't that easy. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative, Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because it took a while to learn how to get the right measurements in and to make sure it was functional so it took time and patience. A challenge I overcame on this project was designing and trying to get the perfect measurements. I was able to do it by using a ruler to measure the size to make sure it fit my phone and to make sure it is functional. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way it looks. The reason why I would change it is because it looks very bland. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in designing.
