Reflection
Using a cool website called Micro:bit Educational Foundation. I used a Micro:bit to create a mesmerising design, Crashey bird, rock paper scissors, and a compass. Because I like to make new things and learn how to do new things, this was very fun.
During this process, I learned how to code. This was a super fun way to learn to code. While doing this I also learned better patience.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker. ties to my project because we used a website to make our micro bit projects. On the website I watched videos and looked at stuff people had already programmed to make the program on the micro bit.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to program. I was able to do it by watching videos and trying new things. What also helped was asking others what they did to figure things out.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how hard Smashey bird is. It is simply too easy. The reason why I would change it is because I like hard challenges such as a harder game.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. Because it was programming a micro chip.
My project connects to careers in Digital programming. It connects to those careers because I programmed it on a computer.
