The images above are pictures taken during the building process of the cardboard dragon.

Using cardboard, duct tape, and some string , I created a cardboard dragon because I was assigned the challenge of making something creative.

During this process, I learned that with a lot of work any project can turn out incredible.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner and Innovative Designer because when I came across a problem in the design I figured out a way to solve it with a better design.

A challenge I overcame on this project was how to make the tail pose able. I was able to do it by making the tail in segments with spaces in between each part so that it could look like it was bending and to give it movement.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the neck. The reason why I would change it is because i'd originally planned on making the neck capable of moving up and down but had never gotten to it.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in design and construction.
