Using the sphero, I created a star shaped maze because we wanted to make it challenging and we wanted a cool looking shape.
During this process, I learned you have to put the turn in the movement.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because we had to work together and think of a way to make the sphero go in a star shape.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding out how to turn the sphero. I was able to do it by making it turn when moving.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the shape of the maze. The reason why I would change it is because now that we know how to make a star shape we would want something more challenging like a rumbas.
This project connect to careers in programming.
I could've used a nonagon shape
or a octagon shape
maybe a heptagon
the sphero can be used to run around a big maze (With walls)
we can make the sphero play hide and seek
make it do parkour
go through ramps
make it play bowling
make it play golf
make it go through a roller coaster
make it go past Jurassic world
make it draw batman
trap it in a fish bowl
make it drive a car
make it draw a house
make it draw a cube
make it race against other spheros
make it do stunts
make it turn into a rave
hide it in an orange
make it do stunts
make it look like it's swimming
make it bounce on water
make it run across the road
game it a video game
