Using Tin foil, I created a tin foil boat because I wanted to know if tin foil boats where better or worse than 3d printed boats.
During this process, I learned making a box shaped tin foil boat was better than making a more advanced 3d shaped boat.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because using the knowledge we learned from the tin foil boats we tried to improve our 3d boat .
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying not to make our boat to small or big. I was able to do it by using the ruler tool in tinker cad and measuring the height and length of the boat.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the shape of the boat. The reason why I would change it is because I could've made the boat float for longer if I put more support on the bottom and making the walls a little big higher.
This project connect to careers in a bridge builder.
