Using extra cardboard boxes, I created a crane machine, because I thought it would be fun to let others play on a game i made. During this process, I learned hot glue is very useful.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I made a creation for the use of playing it has no other purpose so it's just a creation for fun. A challenge I overcame on this project was it was difficult trying to figure out the crane mechanism. I was able to do it by hot gluing popsicle sticks into a fish hook shape, as one of my friends recommended to me.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of the machine. The reason why I would change it is because if it were bigger i could have made more prizes and then it wouldn't need a stand.
