The circle of control is a concept that refers to the things in your life that you have the power to change or influence. When encountering a situation, I have students ask themselves, "What is in my control? What is not in my control?" By distinguishing between the two, it helps us understand what we have power over.
For example:
We cannot control time, but we can control what we do with our time.
If our peers decide to make poor choices, that is out of our control. We can be like Frozen, and Let It Go!
