Our next book is a memoir of a 15 year old girl who experienced the battle for integration hands on. A note was passed at school, asking for volunteers to attend Central High School in Little Rock. She signed up, didn't tell her parents and two years passed. Out of the blue, news channels broke the story that she was one of 9 students that would attend Central at the beginning of the 1957 school year. Her world turned upside down.
