The Nile River

The Nile was the life blood of Egypt. It provided food, transportation, and a way of life for all of those who settled in the Valley.

The Rulers of Egypt

The kings of Egypt (later known as pharaohs) ruled Egypt and were believed to be able to talk to the Gods directly. Ancient Egypt is divided into three kingdoms - Old, Middle, and New. There were 30 dynasties or ruling families and among them were some phenomenal leaders such as Ramses the Great and Hatsheput. Perhaps the most famous is Tutankhamen (image below) - not necessarily because of his stellar leadership, but because his tomb was found mostly intact and help shed great light into the world of Ancient Egypt.
